Find out more about Thundercity Motorcycles

Thundercity Motorcycles started life in May 2002 when two pals got together after drinking lots of beer one night. I had been unfairly dismissed from a main Harley dealer and Andrew had just been laid of from his job after 20 years. Originally we were just going to buy and sell bikes, but that idea got lost when we found a cheap unit at Haines park in Leeds which is where we still are now, although we have taken the unit next door as well as the business grew so fast.

We started out just selling clothes, parts and accessories but soon realised we needed a workshop as the demand for quality servicing and tuning became apparant. So we built in one half of the shop and moved the clothing upstairs, we built our selves a couple of bikes for me and andrew to ride around on and show at all the major events. The Coaster and the Godfather were very successful, with both bikes winning at shows up and down the country and both being featuring in major magazines including front cover for the godfather. Since then we have built lots of bikes for customers who are winning shows all over, including europe. You can ckeck em out on the website.

This year was a real bonus for us as we were aproached by Stez from Polar cycles who asked us if we would be interested in appering on a tv programme with 5 other builders to build a bike for the Discovery Channel. Fuck Yes.........was our reply and as you will see on the programme, which aires Tuesday 25th October, we had a great time during the filming....although i think they might bleep some of my language out as i get a bit carried away. But hey Fuck it, I'm from Leeds and I make no excuses. The bike we built was our idea of a tradditional old skool chop, not to everyones cup of tea but most people who have seen it love it and that will do for me. This bike and all our bikes take alot of hard work and effort from all involved, so heres to us building more bikes this year and next and continuing to grow and grow.............if you like what we do come and say hi even if its only for a coffee. All are welcome in the shop and if you bring doughnuts you will be made very welcome......hahaha.
